I am very hard working and quick and eager to learn. I have recently graduated from a media production course which included web design and development, film production, sound production, TV studio work and photography.
I am highly motivated and enjoy working hard on all projects that I am tasked too. I enjoy learning new skills and techniques and being introduced to new technologies, be it in film or web development.
I also spend a lot of time self motivating myself and teaching myself various things that can boost my skills, in the past these have included using After Effects for video production work and PHP for web development work.
I like a challenge and look forward to working hard and giving whatever comes my way, 110%
During my time at university, much of the work I did was group work, during which I was often placed in a high position, be it team leader, director or producer. This allowed me to take control of a team of between 4-8 people at one time. I was able to achieve good results and work well with the rest of the team. This also meant I learnt important skills which allow me to be a key part of a team.
While at work I was often given the responsibility of closing down the High street department, which meant dealing with health and safety issues, money, and specific items pertaining to the running of the store. I also had to problem solve and negotiate with displeased customers which was another one of my duties that, in my opinion, I did to a very high standard.
I have several interests and hobbies. I very much enjoy drawing, specifically Japanese manga (comics) and I also read a lot of manga and watch anime (animation). I am in the process of teaching myself Japanese and can understand and speak a few phrases and read some Japanese texts.
I also enjoy painting miniatures as well as drawings and designing logos and various graphics for videos that I have made. I do this to push my abilities and to improve them.
I enjoy making films. These have not always been for university. I am also a fan of extreme sports and have made a couple of extreme sports videos for friends and family and plan to do more in the future. The Extreme Sports channel has also shown interest in these videos.
While I enjoy making my own films, I am an avid film collector and am regularly buying DVDs of latest films and can be found watching the special features to pick up useful information and tips.
I also enjoy video gaming on PC and Xbox 360 and often play online with friends and family, usually playing first person shooters.
I am a big rock music enthusiast, although I don´t play any instruments, I listen to many of the subgenres and am always on the lookout for new forms of music.
I enjoy working with web design. I am constantly pushing my CSS skills and try to make more complicated themes for sites which use my entire knowledge of CSS and hopefully I can pick up new ways of working with CSS. I am also teaching myself PHP to add an extra dimension to my web development skills.
My future plan would be to extend my knowledge of web development methods such as accessibility to all users, and methods such as AJAX and Ruby on the Rails. I would also like to extend my knowledge of PHP, XHTML and CSS and start building very dynamic server side sites from scratch.
I would also like to purchase my own video equipment which would allow me to make films in my spare time and hopefully gain recognition as a film maker that way.
I would also like to be fluent in Japanese and visit Japan to experience the culture for myself as it is something that really interests me.
